Pelargonium sidoides, Antiviral Properties

With the global attention to COVID-19 viral infections it is important for us to know what we can do to defend our bodies from infection.
Afrigetics flagship extract, Pelargonium sidoides, has antiviral properties worth noting. Pelargonium Sidoides prevents viruses from attaching to the mucous membrane cells and stimulates the body’s immune system in such a way that both bacteria and viruses are prevented from multiplying. In vitro, the extracts show efficacy against cellular infections with influenza virus, HSV, EMCV, RSV, coronavirus, parainfluenza virus, and coxsackie virus, and this appears to bemainly mediated indirectly by inhibition of virus attachmentand spreading.
